easter sunday on tour:

south

london

Join us for a one-off tour this Easter Sunday.

It's like our Hidden Gems tour, but with a twist. We've reversed the route and all the food gives a little nod to Easter.

Think tasty lamb dishes, eggs of the chicken and chocolate variety and hot cross buns. Plus a gin cocktail. Because, why not.

And like all our tours, we'll tell you loads of weird and wonderful tales about the area and its history.

Four hours . Six stops. Five lots of food and a cocktail.

Happy long weekend.

£69pp (includes all the food and drink listed.)

Stuff to know

We'll cap the group at 12 people to keep things intimate.

We start by Borough Market but we aren't visiting on this route - we want to take you to the lesser-know places - if you haven't been to Borough before, pop down for a look around before the tour.

Logistics

We meet outside the Southwark Tavern by Borough Market.

We finish at St Katherine Dock, near Tower Hill station

Best to wear comfy shoes and dress for the weather. We tour come rain or shine.

A taste of the tour

Here's what we'll be up to.

01

Head down the back streets to one of London's newest markets where we'll try some sumac lamb scrumpets at a restaurant that's all about seasonal British food.

02

Meander over to a place that knows a thing or two about slow-roast meat. There we'll try their most tasty mutton tacos and hear about the area's history.

03

Step on to Bermondsey Street before hitting up Maltby Street Market to take in the sights and smells, then fight our way to the scotch egg stall.

04

Make a pit-stop in a little distillery where you'll taste the two house gins then pick your favourite and have a seasonal cocktail.

05

Wander back through the market stalls and make a bee-line for a brilliant sweet stall where we'll pick up some Easter egg brownies.

06

Keeping things sugary, we'll round the tour off with a hot cross bun in chilled little cafe with marina views. You're welcome to stay on there for a drink, or we'll walk you to Tower Hill tube station.
